Short as the vid-clip was, they pulled out all the stops in their marketing campaign, briefly show the girls stripping to their bras and knickers before a crown of ravenous spectators. We've said it before and we'll say it again: those wily Brazilians sure know how to throw a party! The celebrations started with Festa Do Mallandro (1997-2002), setting standards that have rarely been surpassed over the past two decades.
It's unfortunate that the series isn't available online, as judging by surviving footage, it was literally packed with beautiful young chicas falling out of their clothes at a moment's notice.
According to pt.Wikipedia the "Stage Assistants" initially wore ornate costumes in keeping with the show's carnival atmosphere. At some point, however, more revealing outfits began to appear, with some of the Mallandrinhas donning two-piece bikinis and skin-tight body suits. The turning point came when Érica Vieira performed her dance number in a lacy black corset complete with adjustable suspender stockings.
Noelia Arias, better known by her stage name Licenciada Tetarelli, was one of Latin America's foremost vedettes back in the day. Making her debut on La Red's Vamos Chile in the early 2000s, she spent most of her appearances stripping down to her bra and panties before a live audience (a skill she picked up during her waitressing days, apparently).
In common with many of her contemporaries, she was usually paired with a couple of gross, bumbling straight men who talked her out of her clothes the moment she stepped foot on stage. All the same, the segment turned out to be incredibly popular, allowing Ms Arias to go on to...well, more or less the same thing, just on different shows.

Here are some short clips from the Portuguese comedy Maré Alta (2004-2006), a kind of Love Boat parody featuring pretty young women in their bras and panties. Several episodes featured a sketch in which (to quote Vogue Portugal) "girls would go through a metal detector, requiring them to take their clothes off until they were left in their lingerie."
