The technology still has its flaws; the image posted below isn't perfect, but it's still incredibly good, considering that the original photo featured a middle-aged male. If this is what we're capable of doing now, imagine what we'll be able to accomplish in just a couple of years...

2022 Winter Spectacular

Gloire Soit!

Today, we have some old screencaps from the Glory Bee cartoons of the 1940s. According to Mark Donstein's Toonopedia, the animated shorts of the postwar period were collected and restored by Le Cine Achive De Paris and released in a DVD Boxed Set in 2006 (proving that French preservation societies treat animated material with far greater respect than the original American studios do themselves). However, as the Glory Bee Collection is only available in Europe, screencaps from the series are virtually unknown in America.

2022 Halloween Show

OK, we're a few days late reposting this one, but Tisa's 2022 Halloween Show is an absolute blockbuster! HypnoSPANK

OK, here's a screencap from a flash game we were working on a few years back. The protagonist is a woman in her late teens, unwittingly subjected to age regressive conditioning. A post-hypnotic codeword reduces her to a childlike state, in which she loses all memory of her adult life and genuinely believes she's a young girl.

Scenario:

Whenever Sheri and her boyfriend get into an argument, he utters the codeword and subjects her to a good, long spanking over his knee (something her juvenile persona finds utterly humiliating: "No, Daddy, please no, not on the bare, not on the BARE"). When the punishment is finished, he restores Sheri's normal personality, warning her that the next time will be far worse. Memories of her ordeal - along with a hot, stinging bottom - leave her thoroughly chastened for the time being.

Sheri has considered leaving him on several occasions, but his influence over her is so profound that she can barely make any decision without consulting him. The one occasion she tried to sneak away led to the Mother Of All Spankings and a week trapped in her juvenile persona.

Vamos Chile: Noelia Arias

Noelia Arias, better known by her stage name Licenciada Tetarelli, was one of Latin America's foremost vedettes back in the day. Making her debut on La Red's Vamos Chile in the early 2000s, she spent most of her appearances stripping down to her bra and panties before a live audience (a skill she picked up during her waitressing days, apparently). 

 

In common with many of her contemporaries, she was usually paired with a couple of gross, bumbling straight men who talked her out of her clothes the moment she stepped foot on stage. All the same, the segment turned out to be incredibly popular, allowing Ms Arias to go on to...well, more or less the same thing, just on different shows.

Let's talk about cultural dissonance...

Back in the 1960s, the Chirrol Chocolate company produced an animated commercial meant to appeal to children. It featured three bishojo characters singing "ふりふりフレーク、チロルチョコ～," which (liberally translated) means something like "shakey-shakey-shakey, Chirrol Chocolate-ah!" The cartoon ended with the girls raising their skirts to reveal their underwear. Most people found it cute and funny; apparently, kids used to sing it on the way to school. Kawaii desu, no big deal.

Fast forward thirty year or so, and the company decides to remake the ad in 1994. Social values have changed, agendas are being pushed, and suddenly, we have thousands of moral guardians mounting a letter-writing campaign to the government, demanding that the "obscene commercial" be banned until the end of time. Apparently, the local P & T association had leapt onto the PC bandwagon that the West had been pushing for the past few decades.

You'd think that the average Japanese politician would have more important things to deal with than a harmless TV commercial, but naturally, the Puritan Brigade got their way as they always do. The advertisement was censored, all copies of the print destroyed, and a valuable piece of popular culture was lost to history. Apparently, nobody and nothing is safe from these self-righteous killjoys, regardless of where they happen to live.

So, what would you do...

As always, Tisa's animation is of the highest professional calibre, featuring exceptional choreography, camera angles and special effects. To quote Gerry himself, "He did such an amazing job on it, and I couldn't be any more proud!" We're in complete agreement there - the twirling sequences are a particularly impressive addition to the general repertoire, which we hope to see repeated in the near future.
